Setup, Compatibility & Care
Proper installation is essential for porcelain paving. Unlike traditional concrete pavers, these slabs should be laid on a full, uniform mortar bed over a compacted sub-base to avoid point-loading stress, which can lead to cracks. Ensure that the substrate is level and that you use a suitable primer on the underside of each slab before laying it onto the bedding mortar to guarantee a strong bond. When cutting these slabs, use a high-quality, water-fed diamond blade to prevent chipping. For day-to-day care, keep the surface clear of debris to prevent scratching and use a pH-neutral cleaner for any stubborn spots.
