The SIP WELDMATE PRO 160A DC TIG/ARC Inverter Welder is a versatile dual-process inverter welder designed for professional fabrication workshops, sheet metal applications, and home workshops. It is powerful, compact, and lightweight, featuring high-frequency start-up for easy arc striking, which results in cleaner, higher-quality welds by preventing electrode contact with the workpiece. This welder is compliant with Reg EU 2019/1784 (Eco Design for Welding Equipment) and uses a 4th-generation inverter that is over 80% energy efficient, leading to lower operating costs. It is suitable for welding mild steel, stainless steels, copper, and brass. The package includes the welder, a 3-meter TIG torch with consumables, a 3-meter electrode lead, a 3-meter earth lead, and a welding hammer/brush. It offers a duty cycle of 160A @ 30% (TIG DC) and 140A @ 30% (MMA) at 20°C. The high-frequency start-up provides a superior arc striking method compared to lift or scratch techniques, ensuring consistent arc initiation and eliminating tungsten contamination. The post-gas function protects the weld pool and tungsten electrode from atmospheric gases, preventing oxidation and ensuring a clean, high-quality weld. With infinitely variable dials and an LED display, it offers smooth, stepless output adjustment for easy and precise control.
