Product Information
Full details
The Junia Pleated Shade is an ideal choice for homeowners looking to refresh their lighting fixtures with a refined, textured aesthetic that fits both modern and classic interiors. Its primary benefit lies in its dual-functionality, allowing it to serve as either a table lamp shade or a pendant ceiling shade, though users should note that the light output is softened by the fabric, which may reduce brightness for task-heavy environments.

FAQs
Can I use this shade with a high-wattage bulb?
It is recommended to use low-energy LED bulbs to prevent heat buildup, which can damage the fabric over long periods.
Does this include the lamp base?
No, this product is the shade only. You will need an existing lamp base or ceiling pendant kit to attach it.
Is the shade easy to clean?
Yes, gentle dusting with a soft cloth or a vacuum brush attachment is sufficient to maintain the shade.
What is the diameter of the shade?
The Junia Pleated Shade has a diameter of 30cm.
Can I use this in a bathroom?
This shade is intended for dry indoor areas and should not be used in high-humidity environments like bathrooms.
Troubleshooting
Shade appears crooked on the lamp base
Ensure the gimble is centered on the lamp holder and check that the lamp holder itself is tightened correctly to the base.
Light feels too dim
The pleated fabric and lining will naturally soften light. Try replacing your bulb with one that has a higher lumen output or a cooler color temperature.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Versatile dual-use design for lamps or ceilings
- Sophisticated, timeless pleated aesthetic
- Easy to install on most standard fixtures
- High-quality finish with self-trimmed edges
Cons
- Fabric construction diffuses light, reducing overall brightness
- Requires careful dusting to maintain the pleats
- Only available in one size
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install, ensure your fixture is powered off. If using as a table lamp shade, simply slide the shade ring over your existing lamp holder and secure it with the shade ring provided with your lamp. For pendant use, flip the shade and attach the gimble to your ceiling suspension kit.
Compatibility: The shade is designed for universal fit with standard BC (B22) or ES (E27) lamp holders.
Care Instructions:
- Use a soft, dry microfibre cloth or a clean dusting brush to remove surface dust regularly.
- Avoid water or chemical cleaners, as these can stain the pleated fabric.
- Keep away from extreme heat sources to prevent material discoloration over time.
