FAQs

What kind of dents can this tool fix?

The RE108 is designed for paintless dent repair (PDR), targeting shallow dents, dings, and imperfections without paint damage.

Can I use this on aluminum panels?

Yes, it can be used on aluminum panels, but be extra cautious due to the metal's softness. Use gentler tapping and control.

How do I choose the right tip?

Use the blending tip to work the metal around the dent. Use the knocking down tip to gently tap down raised areas.

How do I care for the hammer?

Clean the tips and shaft after each use. Store it in a dry location. Inspect it regularly for damage.

Can I use this on my car's bumper?

The RE108 is primarily designed for metal body panels. While it might be used on some plastic bumpers, it's not its primary use.

Is any training required?

While the tool is easy to use, training and practice are recommended to get the best results.

Where can I find replacement tips?

Replacement tips can often be purchased from Sealey or from automotive tool suppliers.

Troubleshooting

Tip won't stay attached.

Ensure the magnetic connection is clean. Check the tip's compatibility with the adapter. Replace the magnetic adapter if necessary.

Handle feels loose.

Tighten the handle connection. If the issue persists, inspect for damage and consider replacing the handle or contacting Sealey support.
