Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install, first isolate the water supply and drain the cistern. Unscrew the old valve, ensuring the rubber sealing washer is correctly positioned before inserting the new brass shank. Tighten the retaining nut by hand before giving it a final quarter-turn with a wrench. The valve is designed for bottom-entry systems only. Ensure that the internal float has enough room to move freely without hitting the cistern walls. For long-term care, the chlorine-resistant materials prevent degradation from treated water; however, if you live in an area with extremely hard water, occasionally inspect the internal filter for scale buildup to maintain optimal flow rates.
